To prove my point about the amoebas that make up half the population of Singapore, exhibit 1: there’s a certain bog written by a certain “bear” who likes to, as he puts it, “yak things Singaporean”. While there are moments his writings exhibit a kind of deranged lucidity, the rest are just rantings of a paranoid schizophrenic.

And yet the gallery cheers him on. The mob, made up of various conspiracy whackos sharing a single brain-cell, blames all the ills of the world on gays, “free sex”, promiscuity, etc etc everything that is considered “liberal”.

I’m willing to bet that at least half of the Singaporean population are like that. Suffice to say, if this country were to truly become a liberal democracy, its only a matter of time before we see gays being lynched, lesbians hung from trees and burning crosses planted in the middle of void decks.

It may sound ironic, but only our current authoritarian government can protect homosexuals from the howling masses.
